5 Ways To Be More Positive In Life

Everybody needs a sprinkle of positivity in their life, especially since positive words can have an obtain amount of effect on your health. In this episode of Wilnis Wednesday I give 5 ways to being more positive in life.

1. Express Gratitude 

Gratitude can be expressed through actions or words. We express gratitude, because the satisfaction we receive from helping others is incredibly rewarding! And expressing gratitude can be as small as saying thank you, to buying a bunch of flowers for someone you love. What’s important is to reflect on what you’re grateful for and write that down at least once a week. Writing it down has a big impact on your level of positivity.

2. Express Negativity On Paper

What better way to express your feelings, and especially negativity, than on paper. That way you’re not harming anyone or anything, and you have let out the feelings that may have been tearing you apart. It is an amazing outline to get things out of our system, and I highly advice locking yourself up and writing before you explode and cause some damage.

3. Use Positive Affirmations

Affirmations are positive sentences you read, write and say to yourself daily. Great places to hang positive notes are on your mirror, on the kitchen fridge, as a computer screensaver. Great places to read these positive sentences aloud to yourself are in your bedroom, in the shower, in the car or on the bike to your work or school, anywhere you’re alone and quiet. The more you say and read the positive affirmations, the more you’ll start to fully believe in those beautiful words and the more they’ll become a reality.

4. Surround Yourself With Positive People

People come and go in your life for a reason, leaving you with lessons, experiences and memories. Some good, some bad. It’s okay to thank those people for forming the mindful person you are today, as you are still embarking on your personal growth journey. And when it’s time, filter out the bad and open your heart up for the good. Surrounding yourself with positive people will not only lift you up to another level, it will also make you feel whole again and at a lot more peace knowing these people believe in you and see the good in all life has to offer.

5. Smile!

Like they say “turn that frown upside down”. When you smile you and show your beautiful set of choppers, it sends neural waves to your brain making you feel and think a lot more positive. It’s a simple gesture that we often forget to do. Don’t be afraid to look at yourself in the mirror every morning and just smile to yourself. Starting your day in that way will make a profound impact on your performance throughout the day.
